I remember the ’last shot’ like it was yesterday. Watching in pure amazement while my Uncles yell uncontrollably at the television. It was game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals vs. the Utah Jazz. MJ had an incredible 45 points that night, but the game came down to the wire. When the clutch time arrived, Jordan instinctively hit the defender with a low crossover and drained the jumper in buzzer-beater fashion.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the legendary ’last shot’ that earned the Chicago Bulls their 6th NBA championship title. This year also marks the Retro Air Jordan 14 ’last shot’ Michael Jordan wore in that polarizing picture. The re-release of the Retro 14 is identical to the original that came out in 1998. Inspired by luxury vehicle brand Ferrari, the sneaker material is majority premium leather with nubuck at the front toe. Jumpman logo is surrounded by a yellow shield (similar to the stallion in the Ferrari logo). Strategically, red in the Jumpman logo (front toe/heel), tongue, and outsole give the shoe great contrast.
The Retro Air Jordan 14 will be out 06/14/18 on www.DTLR.com and at select DTLR locations. Be sure to cop your pair while they are still available.
