The highly-anticipated release of Lil Yachty’s debut studio project “Teenage Emotions” was celebrated with DTLR in the Columbia Mall location in Maryland. Live broadcasts on DTLR Radio from King Flexxa (Flexxrated Radio Show), Jay Claxton and Comedian Ty Davis (The Franchise Movement Show) painted the picture for the event for all of DTLR Nation to hear. Notable Lil Yachty songs served as the soundtrack while fans waited for the QC recording artist to arrive.
Thousands of fans lined up hours before the CD signing event began and they were all in good spirits. Yachty fans danced and sang his tracks and erupted in screams when he walked through the doors of DTLR. He had a huge smile and great energy. A brief interview prior to the meet and greet exposed that his intent with “Teenage Emotions” was to deliver a vibe and do something dedicated to his fans. His focus is to be himself always and that he does not feel pressured by the responsibility of being a role model to the youth. When asked about his Nautica, Sprite and Lebron James connections he modestly smiled, shrugged, and said “it was dope”. There is no doubt that at the age of 19 he has accomplished quite a big deal and we all look forward to everything he has in store.
