Ever since 2006’s now-coveted Defining Moments Pack graced us with the Air Jordan Retro 6s and 11s in a gold-accented colorway, the concept of multi-sneaker Jordan packages has become commonplace. That doesn’t mean they’re any less desirable, though. And while it’s been some time since the last pack, we won’t have to wait long for the next: the Air Jordan Defining Moments Pack 13/14.
This year’s package pays homage to Michael Jordan’s dazzling performance in the 1998 Finals series against the Utah Jazz, with the GOAT wearing the Air Jordan 13 for the first four and a half games and switching to the Air Jordan 14 for the second half of Game 5 and all of Game 6. Ultimately, Jordan led the Bulls to victory, sealing his sixth Championship the now famous “Last Shot”. The rest, as they say, is history.
In honor of these accomplishments, the most noticeable design highlight of both models is their hints of metallic gold, a nod to the Larry O’Brien NBA championship trophy. Find out more about their design below:
- The Air Jordan 13 comes with a white leather upper contrasted by metallic gold accents on the midsole, heel, and mudguard, along with with a special hologram displaying an image of Jordan and the number “98”, the year of his final championship win. In addition, the phrase “THEY CAN’T WIN UNTIL WE QUIT” is stitched between both the inside tongues.
- The Air Jordan 14 opts for a black leather finish also contrasted by metallic gold, with a “98” etched into the back of the sneakers.
To top it all off, the packaging is emblazoned with the drawn up “Last Shot” play for even more nostalgia, making this pack a sneakerhead’s dream.
The Air Jordan Defining Moment Pack 13/14 is set to release on DTLR this June 10th for $175.
