The Women’s Air Jordan 12 Retro “Hyper Royal” is Coming Soon

The relationship between Jordan Brand and the country of China is one that spans decades. In fact, the partnership started exactly 25 years ago when Jordan entered the Chinese market in 1997. The sportswear label had recently launched the groundbreaking Air Jordan 12 at that time, making the silhouette popular amongst Chinese collectors.

In celebration of Jordan Brand’s entry into the Chinese market, they’ve designed a brand-new colorway of the fan-favorite Air Jordan 12 dubbed “Hyper Royal.” It’s set to hit shelves in early October.

This women’s-exclusive proposition features an upper done in tumbled black leather. From there, textured leather mudguards appear on the lateral and medial sides in a “Hyper Royal” hue. The titular tone also accents the tongue’s “Two 3” lettering and Jumpman logos. In a twist on the original design, the heels feature branded tabs that read “Celebrating 25 years of Jordan in China.”

The upper sits atop foam midsole units, with the forefoot portions done in “Hyper Royal” and the heel-side portions done in black. This colorway is finished with white rubber outsole units that feature colorful, patterned pods at the forefoot and heels – that same design graces the sneaker’s insoles.

The Air Jordan 12 Retro “Hyper Royal” will be available on DTLR.com and DTLR stores on October 1st for a retail price of $200.
