The Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG “University Red” is Dropping Soon

For decades, the Air Jordan 1 Low has played second fiddle to its highly-coveted, high-top counterpart. But that’s all changed – the high and low are now on equal footing. And, if you’ve been looking to grab a pair, you’re in luck because Jordan Brand is readying a new take on the popular Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG, slated to land in mid-October.

Dubbed the “University Red” Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG, this upcoming colorway resembles the “Varsity Red” Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG from 2015 and the original “Metallic Red” Air Jordan 1 High.

Premium white leather serves as the base, while bright “University Red” Swoosh overlays, heel tabs, and sockliners provide contrast. Unlike the non-Retro version of the model, this colorway features Nike Air–branded tongue tabs done in “University Red.” Enlarged Wings logos are embroidered on the back tabs in white.

Down below, the sneaker features white rubber midsole units, which house the model’s hidden Air cushioning system. “University Red” rubber outsoles tie everything together.

Will you be looking to grab a pair? The Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG “University Red” will be available on Friday, October 13th, on DTLR.com and at DTLR stores in men’s sizes.
