Nike Celebrates Air Max Day With the New 2090

In the year 2020, Nike takes us on a ride to the future with this new model of Air Max. While this shoe has a base of an Air Max and more of an OG feel, it doesn’t look anything near an OG.

The Air Max 2090 feels very fashion-forward and the model itself uses colors that are very neutral but with its accents really brings the shoe to life. The shoe comes with an airbag that is slightly bigger than what would come in an Air Max 90 but almost with an Air Max 720 feel added to it. This model features an all-white upper that is a synthetic sheer layer over the top and it has an all-white leather mudguard along the side. The shoe gets its brightness and color from its accents, it features light blue stitching that runs around the top of the upper to the shoe and down the inner part of the midfoot. Also coming along the middle of the mudguard it has an orange patch of stitching right underneath a black Swoosh that provides a great contrast.

The heel tongue and laces are all black providing an amazing contrast for the shoe, the pull tab along the heel gives a good red color pop to a shoe that is almost monochromatic. The actual back tab and airbag are a silver translucent type that allows you to see exactly what is underneath the piece. The black tongue piece features a different design from what we’ve seen before with a tab in the center and a small opening with the Nike branding around it. 2090 comes with a clear sole, something extremely similar to what we’ve seen in the Air Max 270.
