Set To Drop: Air Jordan 3 Retro "Racer Blue"

The sneaker that saved the Air Jordan line is back with another retro colorway, the Air Jordan 3. That’s right, while the Air Jordan I and II were both well received by the public, Micheal wasn’t the happiest client and was ready for a cutting-edge design. Enter Tinker Hatfield. The man is responsible for some of the most iconic Air Jordan and Nike designs of all time. Tinker’s first Air Jordan design single-handedly saved Nike’s stake in the Air Jordan franchise. Let’s dig into the details of the latest Air Jordan retro, the Air Jordan 3 Retro “Racer Blue”.

Jordan Brand delivers another clean retro featuring a predominately White sneaker and Racer Blue for accents. The uppers are comprised of White tumbled leather. The same coloring goes for the tongue and midsole. Perforated Cement Grey leather accents the lace area which provides a nice and elegant touch. Racer Blue is used on the lace holders, the tongue’s Jumpman, perforated leather around the heel, the Jumpman logo with “AIR” underneath on the backside of the heel, and the famous rubber midsole. One unique twist that I don’t believe we’ve seen before is the use of reflective elephant print on the toe and heel which gives the shoe a special look, unlike any other retro we’ve seen. This clean sneaker sits atop a Cement Grey sole to finish the look.

The sneaker that saved the Air Jordan line will be available in Racer Blue in a full family size run this Saturday, July 10th, and will retail (Men’s) for $190.
