Set to Drop: Air Jordan XI 25th Anniversary

25 years ago the Air Jordan XI hit retailers’ shelves and instantly became one of the favorite designs in the Jordan line. Still to this day, even after multiple OG and updated colorway retros, the Air Jordan XI is just as popular as ever, and to celebrate its 25th Anniversary Jordan Brand is releasing a special anniversary edition.

At first glance, the pair strongly resembles the coveted Space Jam pair given its predominately Black base. The patent leather, nylon uppers, leather heals, tongue, sock liner, and ankle collar are all colored in Black given this pair a stealth appearance. You might be wondering why Jordan Brand would put “JORDAN” on the lace holders since they are nowhere to be found on any of the released XI’s, however they were included on one of the original sample pairs. A Metallic Silver metal Jumpman graces the sides instead of the traditional stitched logo giving the shoe a more premium feel. White midsoles atop a White translucent outsole provide a nice contrast to the Black uppers.

Like any pair of XI’s, these won’t last long and they’re definitely a must-have for any collector or Jordan Brand enthusiast.

The anniversary pair drops on Saturday, December 12th in a full-size family run and will retail for $220.
