Women’s Strength On Display With The Air Jordan 6 ‘Singles Day’

Being single during the holidays can be annoying, to say the least. Family members inquire about your marital status as if walking in without your ex isn’t obvious enough. Unlike most countries that add pressure to your love life, China does the exact opposite. ‘Singles Day’ is a countrywide celebration held on November 11th. The commercial holiday is meant to display pride in being single, by treating yourself to things you normally wouldn’t. Whether you go on a shopping spree or spa session, the goal is to love yourself by spoiling yourself. Brand Jordan fully supports such a celebratory occasion with a momentous take on the Air Jordan 6.

Valentine’s day is taking a backseat to the Retro 6’s flower power. Specifically made for Women’s sizes, the colorway is black and beautiful. The etched-printed upper is based on luxurious floral upholstery. This trend continues to follow suit through the insulated midsole directly underneath. Amongst the assortment of floral types are basketballs, netted rims, and classic company branding. Matte Black with threaded outlines gives off a laser style finish. Premium fabrics on top of the designs are smooth suede near the mudguard. Shoe port has standard eyestays, while laces are upgraded by the ruby woven shield hooked by golden encrusted Jumpman chains. An abundance of triple Black dimmed the translucent soles harnessing all of that ‘Air’. Despite the sneaker being tonal in color, it is very detailed in fabric and layout.

The Air Jordan 6 Retro ‘Singles Day’ release on November 25, 2020, and retail for $210 USD both in stores and online at DTLR.com
