Set to Drop: Air Jordan V "Bel-Air"

“In west Philadelphia born and raised…”

If you’re a 90’s kid, you can probably rap the entire Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song without missing a beat. During that theme song (and throughout several episodes), Will Smith’s character can be seen sporting several Air Jordan V colorways. On the show, Smith was known for his loud threads, care free attitude, and likable personality. The Air Jordan V “Bel-Air” retro pays homage to Smith’s character by pulling in colors used in the show’s branding and theme song.

The August 15th release will be the second “Bel-Air” pair of V’s to hit our shelves and are fairly similar to the “Cool Grey” pair released back in 2013. In fact, some are referring to this pair as the “Alternate Bel-Airs”. This pair feature White leather uppers atop Court Purple purple midsoles with splashes of Ghost Green and Racer Pink mixed in. Lace eyelets and tongue are both in Black and showoff the signature Jumpman logo in both Ghost Green and Racer Pink. In true 90’s fashion, the collar and tongue lining sport a funky pattern that includes Court Purple, Ghost Green, and Racer Pink. A stitched 23 is found on the heal in both Ghost Green and Racer Pink which coordinate with the tongue’s Jumpman. To finish off the shoe, an iced sole with Ghost Green combo make up the underfoot.

This fresh “Bel-Air” colorway drops August 15th for $200 USD and is available in-stores and online at DTLR.com.
