The time has finally come to reveal who was the person that fired the final shot on Ghost and killed him as Power comes to an end. In the past few episodes, several key suspects have been cleared from being the culprit to pull the trigger and take the life of Mr. Saint Patrick. As the finale approaches this coming week, several leading suspects, such as Tommy, Tate, and Dre have been cleared. Tommy has now relocated to start his life over in California. Tate has set himself up as the political powerhouse for New York Governor now. Dre, on the other hand, was murdered in prison.
There are three leading suspects remaining to be revealed in this week’s finale episode: Tariq, Tasha, and Sax. In the closing moments of last week’s episode, Tommy is seen holding Ghost as he passes away. At that moment, Tommy realizes that the person who shot Ghost is still in the building. Ghost asks Tommy to let the person go. If this is any indication as to who the murderer is, there are truly only two options as to who could’ve pulled the final trigger. For starters, we should know at this point the murderer is not Sax. While he had quite the vendetta to seek revenge on Saint Patrick, Ghost would not stop the person who has been his biggest rival since the start of the series. Also, while deeply upset, do you really think he had the balls to kill Ghost? Chances are probably not.
The jury is still out on if it is indeed Tariq or Tasha who committed the murder. While Tasha has had plenty of reason added more and more each episode, it is hard to fathom her being the one to pull the trigger on the father of her children. While a curveball would be nice, with someone like Ramona pulling the trigger, the verdict seems almost positive to be Tariq. The seeds have been planted for Tariq to be the one to commit the crime. From him trying to convince Tommy to kill Ghost, to his lack of commitment in trying to build a relationship with him.
Odds are that Tariq will be the one to commit the crime. Nonetheless, the show has had its fair share of ups and downs. Let’s all prepare to be upset, angry, and disappointed with the final result. For all we know, Ghost will become a ghost and remain alive with Angela at the end of the show’s final episode.
