DTLR has had the pleasure of hosting two football camps, in two cities, in one weekend.
First up, DTLR partnered with the University of Miami Hurricanes and Capital One Orange Bowl at Ives Estates in NE Miami. Over 200 kids, ages 5 to 13, spent the day doing strength and conditioning drills along side The U football coaching staff and players. Head Coach Manny Diaz offered words or encouragement to the youth and DTLR provided giveaways to each participant.
Meanwhile back in Baltimore, Tavon Austin of the Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore’s own hosted his 5th Annual Game Changers youth football clinic at Woodlawn High School. Over 250 local youth, ages 7-17, broken down into three age groups , 5-8, 9-12, 13-17, hit the field to condition with local youth, high school and college coaches. Tavon did his annual 40 yard dash race with each age group to see who the next rising star would be. Dicks Sporting Goods provided gift cards to the three individuals that beat Tavon in the 40 and DTLR provided the sounds, shirts and lunch for participants.
