Ice Cream: The Delicious Mind of Skateboard P

Back in 2004, nothing was more exclusive than having on a pair of Ice Creams on. Pharrell is practically a walking statue today. But at the time, Ice Cream was simply a subsidiary line under Billionaire Boys Club. Platinum rap artists like Clipse and Lil’ Wayne created a tidal wave of swag that everyone wanted a piece of. Looking back, I believe that Pharrell’s genius designs and the overall theme is deeper than I originally thought.

Theme- It is a general consensus that ice cream is an international treat that people from all walks of life enjoy. Naming the line after a frozen desert peak the interest of people from all walks of life. Other than those who are lactose intolerant, who doesn’t love ice cream?

Graphics- Whether it was the sweat jacket or the sneakers, the ice cream theme was solidified. The word ice cream can be broken into two separate words that have a monetary meaning behind it. To me, ice symbolized the diamonds and the cream symbolized the dollar sign patterns. Makes perfect sense in conjunction with the Billionaire Boys Club theme.

Noya

Writing is a craft that LaMon "Noya" Byrams developed at a young age, but never used it on a professional level. After interning at DTLR/VILLA, the company decided to acquire his literary talents to write compelling articles focused on their latest shoes and sneakers.

  1. It’s good to see to the Billionaire Boys club have been dropping Ice cream pieces as of lately from what I’ve seen on the site. I was a major fan when I was younger they whole wave was something different when it came to fashion.
