If you look up the word “champion” in Websters dictionary, one of the definitions read, “a person who fights or speaks for another person or in favor of a cause.” In Detroit, Michigan, a hand selected group of young ladies were shown just how champions are made outside of the ring!
WBC Junior Middleweight Boxing Champion Tony Harrison, not only opened his heart but also his gym on the West side of Detroit and partnered with DTLR and Detroit community activist LaTrell McNairy of Metamorphosis Management, to give back to a lucky group of young ladies this prom season.
On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, 90 young ladies were invited to the Superbad Fitness Gym, as it was transformed into a pop-up shop for them to search for the perfect prom/graduation dress, along with shoes and accessories. Thanks to the generosity of these local “champions” every girl walked away feeling like the Belle of the Ball! Take a look at the happiness below:
