For all of you non-GoT fans, get ready for 6 weeks of torture. Read on to see my theories on the final season of Game of Thrones. It’s a ride, so buckle up.
The final season of Game of Thrones is a few weeks away and we thought we’d do a quick little recap before what is sure to be a wild final season starts. There are too many storylines to cover (sorry Clegane Brothers) in any one article so this one will focus on the main players and some speculation on what might happen in the final season.
The Night King is wild for the night. My man kills a bunch of people and then is all “psych, you’re alive, but you work for me now!” Now homeboy has a demon dragon to ride around town on. My god! One would think it’s looking pretty grim for everyone not on the side of the Night King but the last time we saw him he was riding that demon dragging like a bucking bronco and melting the wall like it was ice cream on a hot summer day. To most people that watched the show that was a moment they had long been waiting for: the dead breaching the wall. To me, that moment shows the Night King has bad judgement. The dude can kill anyone and bring them back as his solider in an instant, yet he wasted time melting a wall while he was on something that can, you know, fly right over the wall. My man could’ve just flown over the wall, torched some poor souls real quick, and had a whole new army in no time. Dude has bad judgement and it’s going to come back to bite him. Game of Thrones is a song of fire and ice and the Night King is the ice. Dany is the fire. Bad judgement is about to meet that fire.
The last time we saw Dany she was having relations with her nephew. Notwithstanding that nastiness we’ve seen Dany ride hot when pushed too far. She has been cornered before and all of a sudden realizes she can just burn everything down and she’s all good. I can see her and the Night King having a battle to the death. Dragons vs Dragons, Fire vs Ice. She is the only character that seems to have any equal footing with the Night King in terms of special powers. We’ll see. But first she needs to understand who Nephew is and stay away from Jon. No one wants to see that.
Arya Stark is bout that life. This girl is a killing machine, morphing from one person to the next with the quickness. I could see a storyline play out where she battles Jamie Lannister (both are skilled swordsmen), kills Jamie, morphs into Jamie and then kills Cersei as Jamie and Cersei being all ‘oh no Jamie why did you do this what the hell I love you oh my god I can’t believe it’ and Arya pulling Jamie’s face off to reveal herself and DAUUUUUUUUUUUM, I’M HYPE I HOPE THIS HAPPENS!!!!!!!!!!
I was going to go into this long thing about the Lannister’s but that last paragraph just happened so we’re going to move one (they all die btw).
So, we have Bran, Jon, Arya and Sansa, three of them have something in common and the other one is Sansa. Bran, Arya and Jon all have powers. Bran can warg, Arya is a Ninja and Jon can make you think he’s dead for a week then be all “nah, I’m good.” Sansa is what exactly? The next thing interesting Sansa does will be the first interesting thing Sansa does. I don’t buy it that she’s the only one without some special power. No way. I could see some wild turn where all of a sudden, she’s flying morphing or something and catching everyone off guard and swooping in to save the day.
Jon Snow is emo. That even rhymes which only proves the point. He’s going to be that poetic hero that dies, and everyone is all sad cause we all think he’s going to be the one that comes out on top. But nope, in some long drawn out sequence he breathes a final breath, Sansa stands there all sad and doing nothing (cause she’s boring) and Jon dies. Our hero gone. PSYCH, it’s really Arya and then you’re all relieved Jon isn’t dead but oh snap, Arya is dead and you don’t quite know how to feel about it because, damn, Jon, the King, is still there but his baby sister is gone and OH MY GOD THIS SHOW CANT START SOON ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. The Clegane Bowl is going to be awesome.
