Villa Traxx, Vol .004

Speakers blarin’, hips shakin’, beats poppin’. That’s how we like it. Turn up and get turnt.

In this week’s playlist, the theme revolves around the music that makes you get lit. Be sure to have a fire extinguisher on hand because these tracks are flames!

.004 | Bangerz

Watch (feat. Lil Uzi Vert & Kanye West) x Travis Scott

It’s no wonder why he’s nicknamed La Flame. With the help of Lil Uzi Vert and Kanye West, Travis’s single is enough to make you hit that repeat button time and time again. Add Pi’erre Bourne on production, and you have yourself a certified banger. After listening to this track multiple times, we know one thing is for sure though — we want Travis to drop AstroWorld. Fun Fact: I went to AstroWorld as a child before it closed!

Praise The Lord (Da Shine) x A$AP Rocky & Skepta

A$AP Rocky’s album Testing may have been overshadowed by the multiple releases in June, yet this standout track with Skepta proves otherwise. Paying homage to DMX in his bars, Skepta adds his own grime-centric flair in this unexpected collab. The flutes in this instrumental make you feel some type of way, too.

Bigger Than You (feat. Drake & Quavo) x 2 Chainz

What happens when you add the 6 God and Huncho on a 2 Chainz track? Listen for yourself. These catchy flows will make you want to dance. Reminiscent of Travis Scott’s Butterfly Effect, this song bangs! Get ready to set that volume to Max, you’re in for a treat.

Apesh*t x The Carters

After dropping a surprise album, Beyoncé and Jay-Z proved yet again that they are at the top. Who else rents out the Louvre for a music video?! With Migos’ ad-libs and an unexpected Pharrell production, this will definitely be roaring out of speakers! Queen B + Hova = The Carters. We are loving it.

Win x Jay Rock

TDE didn’t come to play with this track. With stand-out ad-libs from Kung-Fu Kenny, Jay Rock stands firm in the assertion that he’s a champ. After listening to those trumpets and 808s, we are all winners. Hurry to your nearest speaker and press play. Get out the way, yeah!

New Freezer (feat. Kendrick Lamar) x Rich The Kid

Before this song came out, people probably never heard of Rich The Kid. However, this song provided reassurance that he’s here to stay. Including Pulitzer-winning Kendrick Lamar on this banger isn’t too shabby either. Favorite part about this song? The New Freezer Challenge.

Black x Buddy & A$AP Ferg

Now I know what you’re thinking… This rapper repeats the word black too much, the chorus isn’t that deep, etc, etc. Stop right there. First of all, the production on this is insane. Turn it up!! Not only that, A$AP Ferg spits his own bars with the up-and-coming Buddy holding his own. I recommend blasting this on a long car ride, it’s worth it.

Juveniles (feat. YBN Nahmir) x Wifisfuneral

Sometimes, new school and old school merge to create a unique balance we deem great. By sampling a classic song by Juvenile and adding chart-topping YBN Nahmir on the track, Wifisfuneral provides us with just that. This is club music, party music, turn-it-up music. It’s no wonder these two made it into the XXL 2018 Freshmen class.

Crazy x Lil Pump

From start to finish, this song is exactly what it looks like—crazy. There are no clear instructions for this song, so I’ll make some for you. Step 1. Press play. Step 2. Go crazy! Lil Pump may not be an amazing lyricist, but sometimes you just need a banger like this to let loose to.

Rubbin Off The Paint x YBN Nahmir

How can a song be so chill and energetic at the same time? We don’t know, but we love it. If YBN Nahmir keeps making hits like this, we want more and more! Keep a tab on YBN Nahmir (and maybe even YBN Cordae who can freestyle)—they’re going to blow up pretty soon.
