Villa Traxx, Vol .001

VILLA is proud to introduce our weekly Spotify playlists. Each playlist consists of ten songs that follow a particular theme. Listen up.

In this week’s playlist, the theme revolves around one question: what songs should I listen to this summer? If you’ve asked that question before, we have just the right playlist for you.

.001 | Essential Summer Traxx

Aries (YuGo) Part 2 (with Rae Sremmurd & Big Sean feat. Quavo & Pharrell) x Mike WiLL Made-It

As soon as you see Pharrell Williams on the track, you know it’s going to be a bop. The catchy hook alone will make you want to drive a Yugo, even if you don’t want to be seen in a three-door hatchback. With Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi’s alluring voices, Quavo’s flow, and Big Sean’s bars, these contrasting styles combine to make a sweet tune. This Mike WiLL Made-It production is a must for your summer barbecues!

Walk It Talk It x Migos & Drake

As part of their third studio album Culture II, this track is one that will have you on the dance floor in no time. The Migos seem to make any hook work, especially one that means business. With October Very Own’s 6 God as a feature, this song was bound to be blasted through speakers everywhere.

Spoil My Night x Post Malone & Swae Lee

Swae Lee and Post Malone seems like a failure waiting to happen, but this works. We can’t stop bobbing our heads to this song, and neither should you. It’s lively, it’s fun, it’s contagious. On the first listen, you feel like you’re on an island. By the tenth listen, you won’t want to leave it. Hop in your pools and turn the volume all the way up because this is some serious heat!

1942 x G-Eazy & Yo Gotti & YBN Nahmir

Is this summer all about interesting collabs? Who knows? Although this track was created for a soundtrack, we’ve seen before how some soundtracks can have bangers. G-Eazy reps the Bay Area, Yo Gotti hits a mean flow, and YBN Nahmir shows us why he’s on the come up. What more do you want?

Nice For What x Drake

We’re big fans of Lauryn Hill, so when Drake released a single sampling one of her greatest songs, we were NOT ready. This New Orleans Bounce music makes you wanna do just that —  bounce. If you’re ready to start the party, this is your jam. Your neighbors are going to complain when you have this on max volume, not because it’s loud, but because it’s not loud enough. You gotta be nice for what?

$$$ – with Matt Ox x XXXTENTACION

Forgive us, this song will probably be the one that’s stuck in your head all day. Matt Ox has an enticing flow, accompanied by a well-produced instrumental. X’s verse is over in a second, but who cares when you’re turning up? Get money yah yah!

JAPAN x Famous Dex

Famous Dex has quite a history of making these bustling bangers, and we are here for it. Dex’s flow leads in and out of the chorus like the Mississippi river; keep ’em coming. By the time you’re done listening to this track, those ad libs will make you want to yell Dexter everywhere you go!

Bussdown x Maxo Kream

From just the first note, you know this song gives off a frisky vibe, making you want to pull off that newest dance move. Dance all you want, we’ll join ya. Everything is bigger in Texas, as Maxo Kream clearly shows us.

To The Moon x KYLE

Super Duper KYLE slows it down for us, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a banger. This song probably comes from outer space cause that production is out of this world. KYLE is known for his glaring positivity, and this song perfectly showcases it. This Kid Cudi inspired track will have you dancing all over the place, even on the moon.

A$AP Forever x A$AP Rocky & Moby

Our final track makes you feel a bit of everything: pride, nostalgia, bliss, and serenity. Flacko’s melodic voice, accompanied by a perfectly sampled Moby, creates peaceful noise. In a summer essentials playlist, we could not possibly leave out A$AP Rocky. Press play, turn it up, and just listen. This is magic in action.
