The NBA Finals are Already Over

Now playing, the 2018 NBA Finals. A movie you’ve seen 1000 times.

What is your favorite movie? How many times have you seen it? Mine is Goodfellas. I’ve seen it no less than a thousand times (approximately). I watch it whenever it comes on tv. I can pick it up anywhere and know what is going on and what the next line is. I’ve watched this movie over and over and over even though I know what will happen.

Welcome to the 2018 NBA Finals. Your favorite movie that you’ve seen a thousand times even though you know how it ends.

Before LeBron James joins the Philadelphia 76ers this off-season, he and the rest of the Cleveland Cavaliers will take on the Golden State Warriors for the NBA Championship. As phenomenal as King James has been, the Cavs have no chance against the juggernaut that is the Warriors. The Warriors super team has made these finals feel like a formality—well that and the fact that the Cavs consist of LeBron and a bunch of G Leaguers.

Inevitability is here and we are all witnesses. What a bummer.

LeBron has put together one of his most ridiculous seasons in his incredible career and it’s all for nothing. While the Warriors don’t appear to be as invincible as in years past, they are still leaps and bounds better than the Cavs. All the Warriors have to do is arrive to the arena each night and they’ll win. It is tough to bet against future 76er LeBron James, but the Warriors have too much for the one-man team to overcome. Steph, KD, Draymond, Klay, Zaza (kidding) vs LeBron. These Warriors won’t have to worry about blowing a 3-1 series lead because the Cavs won’t be able to get to one. We’ve seen this movie, and for the Cavs, the ending isn’t pretty. Instead of trying to convince you that the Cavs have a chance, I’m going to sit back and watch and appreciate LeBron James and his greatness—even if greatness gets swept I, like you, already know the outcome but I’ll still be watching, this movie is just too good.

Prediction: Warriors sweep the Cavs, LeBron comes to Philly, I make LeBron five burner accounts on Twitter, 76ers win the NBA title next year. #TrustTheProcess
