Kevin Hart Day Celebrated in North Philly

Kevin Hart is a big deal, people! So big, in fact, the city of Philadelphia dedicated his birthday as the official Kevin Hart Day.

June 6th, 2017 marked 38 years since Comedian entered this world and Philly represented that by throwing an elaborate block party in his hometown. Kevin grew up in North Philly on Erie Ave, so it made sense to host the day of fun at Max’s Steaks alongside Germantown and Erie ave.

Mayor Jim Kenney and Councilman David Oh, as well as Philly’s own performers Chill Moody and Freeway, kicked off the event to liven the crowd. The afternoon also included an unveiling of a mural of Hart courtesy of the Mural Arts Program.
